why is my unreal engine not launching?

  • VPN blocking something
  • esoteric / overly aggressive antivirus
  • not running the engine as admin
  • too super-duper overclocked GPU perhaps

so i try to launch my unreal engine from epic games launcher or via the search bar in windows but my cursor just makes the loading animation and unreal engine doesnt open or launch it doesnt give me any errors or messages can someone tell me what i can do?

GTX 1060 with max Q design
CORE I7 8TH GEN PROCESSOR
