yes your right it is to do with explosions but your also not right its just you dont want to see it or believe it.
Your looking for an excuse , someone to blame and its not a someone or a program in general.
Your sound or colour change sometimes called artifacting is caused by your computer.
its more common than you want to believe.
It could be Drivers.
It could be your ram over heating
it could be your cpu or rather the thermal paste under and connected to underneath of the cpu chip is old and dust now, causing thermal over heating.
It could be your pc is old and can not handle the general high level preformance games of modern times.
It could be your graphics card is slowly terminating.
It could be you have not cleaned out the inside of the pc case for several months and its now fried a spider to the mother board with webs and DUST in fans causing thermal heat or bad connections.
You do not give pc spec so we have no way of knowing if your above list of games are compatible to your pc .
You do have those games so i guess and say you havent cleaned out the inside of the case pc for awhile , but it also could be any or SOME of the above items it could be.
On Top of all this
It could be you have a tracker bot nightmare full of them with several viruses and thats filled up your memory of the PC to the point its slowing down and can not DO what it could do before the viruses or trackerbots got a great hold.
How to fix
break down the tasks to smaller more managable tasks.
Clean the pc inside and out and mouse and keyboards maybe your kids have spilt orange aid on the keyboard or pc case and not told you.
Download and do spybot and also a malware program loads around google is your friend having a virus program does not mean you have a safe pc you have a front door that locks with a key at home but a burglar can come in a window so check it out ( spyboy , hijackthis, malware etc programs).
download a cpu monitor program that watchs thermal heat they also watch ram and loads of other stuff in pc.
check your uptodate on drivers for cpu , GPU grachics card and bio’s motherboard.
You will find more than one thing is causing this its just a total co insidence that you have found its unreal engine i can assure you its not , go download a free flight simulator called RISE OF FLIGHT and i BEt you it happens on that also which is not unreal engine but it is cpu and gpu and ram hungry game , or rather a modern GAME .
Sorry if its blunt and not there there didums did the big bad wolf scare you , you point the finger and say its unreal engine, im just pointing it right back at you saying , well you havent said specs or any of the things i mention like cleaning or drivers or thermal heat exchanged or anything really.
