Why don't I have the edit mode toolbar in my static mesh editor?

Hello PerCat,

I guess you’re referring to that article Modifying Static Mesh Geometry | Unreal Engine Documentation ?

Have you tried activating the plugin in the Plugin Manager (Settings > Plugins)? It is located under Built-in > Editor, search for the ‘Polygon Editing’ plugin. It might be unstable though, as it is still in beta (at the time of writing), and was just recently added with 4.23, if I’m not mistaken.

Hope that helps.

Regards,

Vecherka.

No problem. Just glad, I was of help.

I don’t have the edit mode toolbar that allows you to edit mesh faces/verticles in the static mesh editor, there are multiple unreal videos and docs about ti but no where does it tell you how to enable it.

I think it only works at the moment if it’s an unreal studio project…

That’s it! - thought it was embedded now, but couldn’t remember how. Nothing obvious from Epic, nice…

What does that mean? Is that an entire separate thing from the options you get in the beginning? I ran off a blank template and my project is like 25% done so fml.

Oh it’s a plugin! I’ll try that thank you!
