Why doesn't "Limb IK" support preferred angle?

I feel like I’m fundamentally misunderstanding something about the IK Rig system. I know you can specify preferred angles on bones through a “full body IK solver”, but I can’t seem to find a way to apply that setting on a limb IK solver combined with pole solver? As a result I have to choose between super unpredictable jankyness affecting the entire body (FullBody IK) or limbs bending in unnatural angles (Limb IK)

I don’t like how unpredictable my rig’s movement becomes if I set everything up with Full body IK, but fullbody seems to be the only way to specify preferred angle for IK movements?
