Why doesn't it have texture if I got the prop in fab?

I’ve downloaded several Fab props in UEFN, and when I put them in foliage mode and paint in the landscape, the 3D model appears but without the mesh. Does anyone know why?

I’d double-check the Static Mesh, (Open Static Mesh itself in the content browser) to see if the Material is broken in there.

If you’re seeing that gray checker pattern in the mesh-viewer, then you’d need to open the Material to see what’s broken.

If it looks textured/normal when viewing the static mesh, I’d be curious to see if the Material has anything complex in it that might break when used as an instanced static mesh in foliage mode.

You should have some Textures related to this in the same root folder of your main asset. It is generally already in the asset you got. If you want to keep track of all these “BUG FIXES” I would suggest you to check out the Asset Optics Plugin on fab for Unreal engine. It lets you add comments and checklists to individual assets allowing you to build your logic in a modular way, saving you the hassle of finding all the steps, bug fixes etc later when integrating in your main game.
