Why doesn't control rig work in 5.5?

I want to use both the game engine and film animation engine on UE5 but when I was trying to make an animation I realized that the control rig is completely and utterly useless. The skeletal mesh doesn’t react at all when you manipulate the rig.

For example if I turn the rig’s head to face left. Only the rig itself would move while the skeletal mesh or the mannequin wouldn’t react to it at all.

Did Epic say anything about this when 5.5 released? I can’t find anything regarding the control rigs.
