Hi, I’m really new to Unreal Engine. I’m trying to learn to develop apps for Meta Quest.
I’m using MAC, I don’t know if it’s the problem… I don’t think so.
I’m following a tutorial to make the first “hello world” app.
I add the Meta XR plugin to my project and restart the project… Then in project settings, when I go to plugins the Meta XR does not appear when it should appear in the tutorial.
Do you know why this could be happening?
With MAC it should work the same as with Windows?
As you can read here mac and Linux are not supported by the MetaXR plugin, and as far I know there are no plans to implement tihis in the near future.
Even if you cannot run your VR project in Unreal for mac as a live preview on your Quest, it should be possible to package and to deploy it to your device. For that reason I cannot understandd why Meta does not provide its Unreal integration plugin for mac, also there is no reason why the live VR preview shouldn’t run in a Meta XR simulator on mac either.
