Why doesn't anything load when I click Launch?

Downloaded and installed properly but when i click launch the “launching gui” loads up but then it just closes and gives no error.

Hello,

Could you please post your dxdiag and also your log file? The log can be found here: C:\Users\AppData\Local\UnrealEngineLauncher\Saved\Logs

Once we have more information we will be able to further investigate.

Can you zip up and post the last crash dump in your logs directory? It should be a .dmp file. Thanks!

We’re very sorry that you’re unable to Launch. Can you please check this folder as well, and attach any log files that you find?

Thank you very much for your assistance but as you guessed… I resolved the issue.
Granted I did not troubleshoot for long, reinstalled windows and installed Unreal to my ‘SSD System’ drive and all was good.

Sorry I couldn’t help further with any technical support.

I have a similar problem but i don’t get any error messages. On my PC i double click the blue U unreal icon and the launch doesn’t even open but it opens up on my mac with no problem but it’s a bit slow when i run some of the simulations. Do you know why it won’t open up on my pc? I just got windows 7 64bit and I just upgraded my ram to 8GB and all should be good so do i need to reinsatll windows 7 maybe? Thanks

Hi ,

It sounds like the editor is experiencing a different error. Could you post this as a new question and also include your log files and dxdiag? That will help us further investigate the problem.
