It is super annoying. cmd calls it “Videos”, Windows Explorer “My Videos”. MS Word calls it “My Videos”, Blender calls it “Videos”.
WTF? it makes it harder to find the folder because I can’t guess its name. Is there a way to ALWAYS show it as one or the other? And why is no one complaining about this?

Thanks franktech, I actually have Mint and a few other distros installed on a laptop in case I want to jump ship, but that’s not happening until Epic ports the launcher to Linux. I wanted to buy some assets from the marketplace and that can be done exclusively from the launcher.
Anyway, i managed to find an easier solution. right click the folder > Properties >Customize > Optimize this folder for General Items. When I did this, Windows allowed me to remove the My when i renamed the folder. I hope this fix is permenant
