I reinstalled Unreal Engine multiple times but every time I create a project, those folders get created in my Documents folder which is in sync with iCloud.
Those folders include a build folder and another one that get filed with build logs etc.
Is there anyway to change this location?

If it keeps regenerating them then it’s probably synced through OneDrive/iCloud/etc. Whichever you have it connected to. If you want them gone you should be able to delete them from your OneDrive/iCloud. I’d start by checking that.
I just installed Unreal Engine 5 on another Mac.
The same thing happened again.
When I create a new blank project.
It creates the following directory inside my Documents folder:
Library/Application Support/Epic/UnrealBuildTool
Library/Application Support/Epic/UnrealEngine
There is no iCloud sync on the Mac. Somehow it just wants to create those folders in my Documents folder no matter what.
How to change this?
exactly the same problem here. went through settings too couldnt find a solution and its annoying
