Why does the movement of the character stop working properly after turning on and then turning off physics

I’m just starting to learn unreal engine

Why does the movement of the character stop working properly after turning on and then turning off physics on the character capsule component ? Before turning on physics, the character goes directly to the place where the mouse was clicked, and after turning on physics and then turning it off, something like inertia appears, the effect as if the player was flying in space. It seems that turning off physics does not restore all settings.

Can you please grab an egg, place it on your table, and try to keep it balanced upright perfectly?
Let me know how that goes.
And I think it should automatically give you the answer as to what’s going on in engine if you try the “eggsperiment”.
