I followed Zak’s dynamic material instance w/ chair tutorial, which was excellent as are all of his tutorials. However, when my player crossed the volume, the material didn’t just change once, but twice. It’s not a huge deal, but if someone were to walk up slowly to the chair, it would look like a broken effect. Any ideas why the color changed twice when I made a linear color and set that to the Vector Parameter of the DMI? Thank you.
Here is the problem, the event is fired every time a component overlap with the collision component.
So…after the Actor cast, you should add a component cast to make it fired only when the capsule overlap with your collision component.
