Why does the capaxity of projects grow strangely

The capacity of a just created code-based project is only about 1.1GB,and once you packaged one level out,it growed up to more than 5GB.Why is it?THX!

There are many different intermediate files used to build and run UE4 and your project.

You’re seeing everything from static libs, generated code files, shader cache and even autosaves.

Checkout the folders DerivedDataCache, Saved and Intermediate.
