I’ve got funds in PayPal to pay for several months subscription, but it won’t allow payment from a PayPal balance. Please change your payment setup to allow payment directly from existing PayPal funds.
Hi, I have the same problem. Want to buy UE4, but I dont have a kredit card and hoped to pay for it per paypal (as much as I don’t like paypal it works normally). However, it doesn’t let me buy without linking it to a Kreditcard. Why is paypal even an option when you still need a kreditcard? I would rather give my card detais to Epic than paypal…
I think this is something PayPal does for all recurring payments, nothing Epic can control.
same problem here
I want to buy the engine but I don’t have credit card ![]()
Yes thats my understanding of the situation, too. However, that could be solved by dropping the requirement to subscribe and just pay on a monthly base. Maybe giving the possibility to buy 6 months at once.
The problem with this solution is of course that Epix would get less money from people that forget to end their subscribtion if they do not need it anymore.
yea that would be better than nothing
6 months for 150$ please EPIC
Weird … okay pay me your $25.00 per month for 6 months and I will subscribe you to Epic for $19.99 a month. 8-}
Actually, that’s not true. I’ve been doing business online for many years and using Paypal for many subscription-based memberships. Epic has the choice to change the requirement if they want to.
…or maybe they really don’t want to make their engine available to anyone who doesn’t have a credit card???
Still nothing on this? Here’s a screenshot from my own PayPal account options to show you guys how it can be changed within 2 minutes.
Please change this, Epic! You’re alienating a lot of potential customers!
I’m sorry for the payment complications! We’re working on a better solution for users who aren’t able to set up recurring payments via Paypal. Stay tuned for news in the next week or two!
Hey, Tim! Thanks a lot for jumping in and giving an update! It’s hugely appreciated, I’m sure you’re a busy man.
WOW! I’m blown away by the direction you chose to go, Tim! Awesome! Thank you all!
But this didn’t help, you still need Payment for the Marketplace.
