Why does my iMac 5K with an i9 hiss when I install UE4 engine, Tourney, and Editor?

My Mac has crashed two times already for unknown reasons.

Welcome to Unreal Engine on Mac. Tips:

  • Click on “Build” to bake lighting. Otherwise it gets calculated in realtime.
  • Close the Epic Launcher in the background
  • In the editor viewports disable “real time preview” (top left menu) unless you need it.
    This will make the Mac run smoother.
