Why does my event not fire?

I am trying to make a inventory system and am running into a problem firing my custom event from a separate blueprint. Does anyone know why it wont fire?

Is REF Inventory a valid reference?

thank you guys turns out it is invalid any idea why that would be bad i typed it in through selecting variable type and found my inventory

can you not reference a widget from another widget

Extending to this, call IsValid macro on “REF Inventory” and check reference validity.
