HI, i don’t quite understand, why is my AI like a fool, instead of taking the shortest route from the red line, but going far like the black line, isn’t the AI mechanism the shortest route? Do I have to plan it with splines?

Are you sure the walk mesh is complete is the path you want to take, with no holes, or sections that are too thin to accept your character? It’s hard to tell from that camera angle, but the walk mesh on the stairs your arrow points to looks really thin.

Make sure the walk mesh isn’t moving when you hit play. This is a constant problem for me.

Try deleting the RECAST_NAVEMESH objects in the outliner. This will regenerate all your pathing info for about 5 minutes before it manages to corrupt itself again.

maybe you need to also add the “Can Character Step Up On” option in the collider settings for that small wall there. and make sure the nav mesh is complete
