C:\Program Files (x86)\Epic Games (9,5 GB) containing Launcher\VaultCache
I just run UE 5.1 but parts of previously installed and already uninstalled versions are just everywhere! The VaultCache keeps marketplace content from these previous and uninstalled versions in Program Files as well as Program Files (x86).
Is this supposed to be normal? What can I safely delete?
I’m curious about the C:\ProgramData\Epic folder, in my case.
I have a UE ‘marketplace’ project that I use as a single storage location for Marketplace assets. Once I download and install initially to this project, then I MIGRATE the asset(s) to whichever project needs them from this location.
I assume the ProgramData VaultCache folder is used by the Launcher on the first-time download of Assets from the Marketplace, then copied from here over to your project when you hit the “+ Add to Project” button after it’s downloaded? Does this sound correct?
If so, then I assume I can safely delete Asset folders from the VaultCache folder once I’ve added them to my ‘Marketplace’ project in order to reclaim some disk space?
Yes/No?
