Why does Control Rig continuously consumes RAM while being manipulated?

I’ve been animating with control rigs in 5.3 for a while now and have been noticing a constant increase in RAM usage. It took me a while to notice what was causing it but apparently, it’s caused by control rig.
More specifically, any time I manipulate controls on the rig via sequencer and ONLY when I do this, the memory increases but stops once I stop interacting with it. I have to frequently close Unreal just to keep it from running out of system memory which is very annoying. Unsure if it’s just related to my rig or it’s an issue with control rig in general.
Has anyone else encountered this issue and know what causes it?

I think I may have answered my own question so this might help others out until this is potentially fixed:
Turns out this occurs only when autokey in sequencer is enabled while interacting with a control rig. Turning it off seems to solve the issue, with the downside of needing to key things manually as a workaround (Hotkey S seems to work well at least on the rig).
