Why can't I open my Project?

I recently downloaded Unreal Engine Four but when I go to open my project I receive the following message:

Out of video memory trying to allocate a rendering resource. Make sure your video card has the minimum required memory, try lowering the resolution and/or closing other applications that are running. Exiting…

How can I minimize the required memory? Do you think my memory card is the problem?
