So, I basically wanted to use Unreal Engine and thus decided to download it. When I ran the launcher, at first it showed UE4.10 with 5.5Gb space , so I clicked on download and it began downloading slowly, my top speed was 144KB/s and it downloaded 100% but I hadn’t open that. I shut down my PC and because of exams didn’t use it for 5 days may be and when I opened it, it said 4.10.1 is available or something like that so I downloaded that and its pace was 3.3 GB. Until yesterday, only 78 MB was remaining but it was too night so I paused and decided to resume morning and when I start now, there is no progress or any percent saying about my download, it says please wait and after sometimes says “Could not download Installation Information, try later. Error-5”. And basically when I open the epic games folder in my drive the size is 27.5 GB and there is back up UE4.10 inside launcher folder. So, I cant download 27 GB again. It takes too long and I am on my home network. Is it my problem or Epic’s problem? Please Help me.
Hi Gabriel93,
Try the troubleshooting steps in this section of the troubleshooting guide.
You can also try going to your library and deleting the 4.10.1 entry and retrying the download. This should be less than 6GB.
If nothing works, follow the steps here to generate your Debug Logs. Post them here, along with your Dxdiag/system specs.
