Why are the Megascans "Environments" bundles missing files, and have such poor file names?

I keep noticing this with the Environments on Fab. When downloading the bundle, all of the individual subFolders have completely useless names that make it impossible to browse sensibly. For example, here’s what you’ll see when you extract the Junkyard environment: Junkyard | Fab

What’s more, many of these folders don’t even contain FBX files. They just have textures in them. The folder I highlighted in the screenshot, for example. Some of the bundles are worse than others. I think in the African Slate Quarry (African Slate Quarry | Fab) about half of the assets don’t have an FBX, just textures. What’s going on with the missing FBX files on these?

Hi @DanGoyette, so about the first query, please note that these sub-folder names mostly correspond to the asset IDs used in Bridge for these assets. This naming convention is intended to help users easily reference the assets in Bridge. Please see the attachment below:

However, if you have any suggestions regarding this, please feel free to share.

Now about the folders that do not contain FBX files, these assets are designed as 2D textures. For instance, the asset ID highlighted in the screenshot above is from African Slate Quarry | Fab and is a surface asset. Such assets will only include texture files, without any .fbx files.
