Why are Manny and Quinn so huge?

Hi everyone,

So out of curiosity, why are the new Manny and Quinn so huge and big?
Take a look at here at Manny and Quinn besides a Metahuman Tall Normal Weight.

The metahuman tall is already over 2 meters tall. Manny and Quinn seem to be over 2,5 meters tall. This is quite funny giant characters. :slight_smile: The white wall behind is suppose to be 2m tall.

I noticed interesting outcomes when playing around with Lyra, and following epics tutorial about retargeting and the built in cosmetics in the game. It works, but when the metahuman holds a gun and you look straight up, the gun is actually not in your hands anymore. Now I am guessing this is because its following the original skeleton, which is larger then the hand reach of the largest metahuman. I mean, 2,3m and 2,6m characters… are giants… :smiley:

Manny and Quinn have the same body proportions of a male tall metahuman.

Is there some scaling going on?
I opened a new third person project, and dragged the Quinn and Quinn Simple meshes into the level.
Then I put in a 200 units tall trigger box for comparison.

Maybe the skeleton used changes? Maybe there’s some animation inflating them? Maybe there’s some scale parameter somewhere?

(You can tell that the box is touching the ground, because the line goes in under the feet of the character.)

wow, that was interesting… the meshes I have dragged out are inside the lyra project on a clean new map. both manny and quinn are the base skeletal meshes dragged out. and the metahuman is also the base BP that comes imported from bridge… all scaling is set to 1, untouched. And I see that my proportions are totally different… I do wonder what I am missing. The wall behind is a basic inengine box, its mesh is 100x100x100, scaled to 2, which should make it 2m…right?

They Are Futuristic Genetically Engineered Humans. Not Modern Humans. LOL.

Ok, I was the idiot here. I actually scaled the box wrong, even if I checked multiple times, so yeah, there is that…

I hate it when that happens!
