I just installed ue5 and created an empty project. Any time I click or right click anywhere in the viewport, this weird white rectangle appears next to the cursor until I move the cursor. Any idea what is causing this? I haven’t even done anything yet and it’s already driving me crazy. It’s clearly a bug or something because it covers the context menu when you right click. The only thing I’ve found that makes it stop is switching to an orthographic view.
I’m on windows 11, 3090, tried restarting everything, didn’t try reinstalling
Hey @anonymous_user_658e4c0a! Welcome to the forums! Oh dear that is a bit odd. Is there any errors appearing in the output window? It’s looking like a context box of some sort is attempting to appear but failing. Most Unreal context boxes are standalone (they appear next to the mouse like this but are independent of it) so this seems extra odd! Does it appear even in fresh projects?

Well after reverting to a restore point, reinstalling the engine, trying integrated graphics, different monitor, uninstalling a bunch of stuff… I figured it out. I’m on a dual PC setup using Mouse Without Borders. There is a “Draw mouse cursor” option that you need enabled if you don’t have a mouse plugged into the client PC. Unchecking that option fixed the problem.
