Hello everyone! I’m excited to share my very first personal project.
Since this is my first work, there are definitely some rough edges, but I finally managed to complete it.
A brief explanation might help clarify the concept:
This piece explores the question, “How does a once-righteous person end up committing sin?”
The protagonist, driven by a pure desire for justice, exposed his company’s corruption, only to be met with vengeance—and the tragic loss of his daughter. Devastated by her death, he sets out for revenge. Although he believed he was upholding justice, his choices ultimately led him to commit murder and self-destruction, stripping him of the righteousness he once had.
I created this project using only Unreal Engine 5, MetaHuman, and FAB, and I finished it with editing and color grading in DaVinci Resolve.
Although it’s my first project and still has its shortcomings, I hope you enjoy watching it. Thank you!
Just wanted to pop in and say this looked great from beginning to end. Great animations, great audio effects, and absolutely wonderful storytelling. Which is even more impressive since you’ve said its your first personal project! Brilliantly done!
After watching the short film, I can say that you have a true talent for cinematography. The lighting, the textures, the audio, and the angles of the camera all come together for making this very real feeling scenario. Without a singe word from our main character you were able to convey his emotions well.
It’s absolutely amazing for someone to add so much depth in story without any background voiceover. Shows a sense of creativity and commitment to the project. Amazing !
@myhuevo Wow, you’re very perceptive! That’s right—I was inspired by Olympic Shooter. And my starting point for the story was: What would it take for an ordinary-looking person to become an assassin?
Was very good entertainment, im not a developer or anything myself I just came to check out this section on my epic games app and stumbled across your video, so from a perspective of your average joe viewer, was great had me watching interested and focused on what was happening and for him to not speak a word I didnt even notice this till I read the comments, that just goes to show you how well you captured the characters emotions and feelings visually without words. Keep it up! Goodwork!
@goodtime_gaz
Thank you so much for your kind words! I truly appreciate you taking the time to watch and share your thoughts. It means a lot to hear that the emotions came through visually, even without dialogue. I’ll keep pushing forward—your support really motivates me!
I think it’s pretty good for a first project ^^
I thought it would be like 6 mins long Room 8 - Winner of the BAFTA for Short Film 2014 ; but it’s still good
@Thefelsefeci Thank you for your kind words!
When I was making this, I was worried whether anyone would actually watch an amateur film from an unknown creator all the way through. So I decided to keep the duration short to maintain engagement.
Thanks to your comment, I also got to check out Room 8—what a great film! I really appreciate it.
