While I’m editing in print editor mouse pointer goes invisible in OSX. I have to click on anything that is no UE4 Editor to get mouse pointer to show itself again. This is happening so much now its nearly impossible to use blueprint editor. (UE4 4.2.1). Even happens on Marketplace projects & new projects.
Hey tebruno99,
What action do you take to make cursor disappear? Is there anything in particular you are doing when it disappears, or will it happen while moving mouse? Can you tell us your system specs? You can find that under About This Mac > More Info. Thanks!
It happens sort of random, especially while I’m trying to move view around, organize nodes, or choose items after right clicking to bring up context menu. It does seem to happen more when I bring focus back to editor from another application.
27-inch, Late 2013
OSX 10.9.3
Processor: 3.5 GHz Intel Core i7
Memory: 32 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Graphics: NVIDIA Geforece GTX 780M 4096 MB
How I reliably reproduce:
1.) Have Focus on iTunes.
2.) Right click and hold to move UE4 view around inside editor
3.) Mouse pointer is still visable at this point.
4.) Left click on UE4 view to bring focus to editor.
5.) Mouse pointer vanishes.
Okay, I was able to reproduce this by having another application open and then moving around in Blueprint Editor. It looks like it’s not properly switching focus back to editor ( other application retained focus while I moved around in editor), and when focus was switched during these movements I lost cursor. Can you confirm that this is what’s happening on your end? Thanks!
Hey tebruno99,
That sounds exactly like how I was able to reproduce it. I have entered a bug report in our system for our developers to look over. It seems like you need to fully switch focus back to editor before moving anything around with a click-drag. A single click to editor in Dock ought to get around this issue for now while we work to fix issue.
Thanks for your report!
