Which unreal version and mannequin should one support for animation asset packs?

Hi! I am working on my first marketplace animation package and I have two questions.

  1. Since UE5 got a new mannequin is it still worth to provide a retargeted version for the UE4 mannequin as well? The current plan is to do male animations on UE5 Manny and female on UE5 Quinn.
  2. Do people still expect the asset packs to support UE4 as well or is UE5 enough? I will provide FBX source files so if people want to open it in older versions that can easily be done too.

I’d love to hear what you think/expect when it comes to versions and mannequins that the animations support. It’s fairly easy for me to retarget the UE5 animations onto the UE4 skeleton, however supporting UE4 might be a bigger thing than it’s worth?

For UE5 packages I would simply expect UE5 Manny/Quinn compatibility. If you would provide UE4 version than I would cheer, but that’s all as I don’t have any project atm based on the old skeleton.
