Which PC to install UE 5 to?

Hi guys.
I have 2 PCs:

  1. Intel i7 6700K with 2080 Super and 16 GB of DDR4.
    2.3900X with 1660 Ti and 32 GB DDR4.
I want to start learning UE 5 ,some basic stuff for a start.
On which PC should I install UE5?
Is PC No. 1 enough or?
Yeah 2nd PC has more power but much weaker GPU, not so sure if it matters.
I won’t be using ray tracing yet.

GPU matter, but so does RAM, and speed of hard drive.
If one has a significantly faster hard drive, go with that one.
Else, go with the more RAM, until you run out of graphics power.
Then swap the graphics cards between the boxes

Both PC only have SSD.
First PC has 16 gigs of RAM,2nd 32GB.
So which one?

any PC is good to install but i would recommend to install it on the 32 GB one since it could run better. I am working on a lenovo and i run ue5 perfectly so anyone is good

So 16 gigs is not enough for smooth work?
But that PC with 32 gigs of RAM has only 1660 Ti which nowdays is low end GPU.

idk im telling you it wont make a difference in which pc to install it unless you have a very good one like apple or a gaming one. You choose, they will both run it the same. It is true that maybe the first time you use ue5 with a weak pc it could lag a lot but it gets fixed soon.

I’d put GPU as top priority. (Is pairing the 2080 with the 3900X an option?)

If you’re just learning, either PC will work very well.

As for RAM, I’ve been using 16GB, the only time I’ve wished for more RAM is working with the new ‘City Sample’

CPU is less important than you might think. I’m using an i7-2600k (+980ti) right now and my only pain points are shader/material compiles. (before you judge me for rocking a decade old CPU please know that I have a 3700X on a test bench preparing for a motherboard swap  )

I got this and is not enough for my settings hah

Priority list should be like that:

1.GPU
2.RAM and SSD
3.CPU

I can tell you from my experience that rig no.1 will be enough to start learning.

I started with Ryzen 2700X RTX 2070S 32GB RAM and SSD for app and NVMe for project file and it could run UE5 easy.
