Please fix my knowledge. Static light only static scene. Stationary is movable object scene mybe character. But static light is more quality than stationary. I want to use static quality but want use movable object people etc.
How this ?
If you have objects that need to move around like people/cars/etc. then you need to use stationary lights so that they can be affected by lighting. Stationary lights are good for scenes that mix both static objects and movable objects.
The difference between the two is that stationary lights use dynamic direct lighting (direct shadows) and then use baked indirect lighting. Whereas with static lights all of the lighting is baked.
Stationary light static object and static light static object is different. Static light is more quality static object light
It depends, the indirect lighting will be exactly the same, the direct lighting can be noticeably different depending on your settings. Chances are that the stationary light direct shadows will be sharper which isn’t always what you want.
No my friend. Static and stationary not same quality. Static light is look better. I try same settings. I always stationary light use because change anything is easy. I think long time ,why my project quality is not enough and ı found. I think must use static
You’re the one asking questions, I’m telling you it depends on the settings. At the very least if you want dynamic objects you must use either stationary or movable lights otherwise because they are not affected by static lights.
But volume light its working try now.
Static lights can’t cast shadows or affect specularity for dynamic objects
archviz project using skyligt. Skylight is not need cast shadows. Cant understand why stationary lights is static object quality is different static lights ?
Which using your project ?
Stationary lights support more features and are technically better and more realistic than static lights, except they have a higher impact on performance.
Stationary lights contribute to the specular reflections of dynamic objects, which isn’t the case for static lights.
A stationary light is a static light which can change the color or light intensity in game without having the lighting to be rebuild. It’s usually low cost performance wise if you don’t set the “Dynamic Shadow Distance Stationary” to large numbers.
If you have movable objects in the scene they will receive dynamic lighting even if all your lights in the scene are static. It’s 2 different things - movable lights and movable objects.
