Which GPU/CPU is better for UE4? Quadro M6000 or GTX 980Ti? E5 2697/E5 2687W or I7 5960X?

Hi,
Epic,

Which GPU/CPU is better for UE4? Quadro M6000 or GTX 980Ti? E5 2697/E5 2687W or I7 5960X?

Thanks!

980 Ti any day of the week. The Quadro cards are overpriced stuff for companies that doesn’t come close in computing power for this kind of 3D. They do have some precision tech many gaming cards lack, but that’s stuff you have little to no use for at all anyway (and no use for in UE what so ever). The E5 2697 might have more cores and a bunch of server features you don’t need, but the 5960X has better single core performance and significantly bigger room for overclocks which will make a huge difference. I wouldn’t buy a CPU with a mere 2.6 GHz clock speed for anything but server use. Server grade stuff is always very overpriced as well since they’re aimed for businesses rather than regular consumers.

Go with 980 TI and 5960X + lots of RAM and you’ll have enough computing power for anything you’ll realistically do in UE4.
