Hello, I want to work on UE4. And which display card could works well with UE4? Quadro P4000 or GTX 1080 Ti?
Either will work, but before you go spending a lot of money you should decide what you actually need for your project. Expensive GPUs are nice, but do you really need it? UE4 will run on a lot less so unless you specifically need features in these cards, or if you are buying it for a high end gaming machine, I would look for something cheaper.
TLDR: Either will work but you can run UE4 on a lot less.
Thanks for your answers. You mean that UE4 do not need a extreme GPU?
Yes, it does not need an extreme GPU. It will run on my laptop with a basic integrated GPU. It’s not particularly nice, but it runs well enough to develop on. I also have a desktop which I keep a NVidia 950 in specifically because it isn’t a very high powered card (I want to make sure anything I develop will run well on it). UE4 runs pretty flawlessly with this setup.
This all does depend a little on what you’re making, but personally I’d only go and buy a GTX 1080Ti if I was making a game that I knew needed all that power or which needed features which only that level of card can offer.
