where to learn? how? pls

hi all, I’m new here, this topic is full of chats and options and it’s complicated, however I intend to learn how to use unreal engine to develop a game together with my friends but I don’t have the slightest idea where to start, can you advise me free courses or something? (I plan to use UE 5.1), does epic games have free tutorials? I don’t know how to start learning and from where, I state that I know how to program in c# having done it at school, so c++ shouldn’t be too difficult, I have already covered object oriented programming, classes etc.
but I really don’t know anything about where to start making a game, and all the things to take into account, I’ve heard of assets, shaders, visual, render, graphic, blueprint, effects, animation, ai etc… help me please, from Where do I start and where can I study? I have very confused ideas.

Hi antaresgames1, Welcome to the Unreal Forums!

A really good place to start is with a video tutorial, something like the one linked below that explains how the engine works as it goes is a great way to start:

They do, but you’ll have to download an lot of projects.

There’s also YouTube, where there’s an plethora of tutorials…On how to make an FPS. Although there’s quite an few specialists out there; for instance, UNF Games mainly deals with creating certain types of environments. Although they occasionally create something different, like an jetpack

Hey @antaresgames1! Welcome to the Forums!

To add on a bit more to these great suggestions, I highly suggest using the Learning Library, especially the course “Your First Hour in Unreal”:

Good luck on your learning journey!
