Where is the build directory and how to set it?

This should be rather simple. Where is the default build directory? How do I set it?

Search for build directory or build folder and you don’t get the answer.

It may be a mutually exclusive issue. With DirectX 11 support selected and Desktop (Win, Linux, etc.) the build didn’t work. After selecting Windows the build is working. . .and it let me specify the output folder. Is this expected behavior? Or just coincidence?

If an option requires a specific platform, for instance DirectX 11, then maybe only allow those targets?
