Hi!
I’m using Unreal 5.3.2.
I have this mesh:
Where do I have to put the pivot? Is correct that location?
Maybe it should be in the bottom left corner. I don’t know.
Thanks.

Middle is usually good. Two examples
A mesh you want to use for procedural generation, like a rock, and you want to rotate it in all sorts of directions for variety. Center pivot is great.
Door. You want the pivot at the edge, because that’s where the hinges usually are, and it will make it much easier to animate in a blueprint.
Thanks. So, is the pivot point for that mesh is correct?
Thank you.
You can’t really say ‘correct’. Like I say, it depends on use.
There are at least two different cubes in the engine, one has it’s pivot in the center, the other at the base.
It’s up to you…
( but corner would probably be a bit dumb, for a cube )
Thanks, ClockWorkOcean.
This question comes from this one: Round to the nearest xx50
I don’t know how the node Snap to Grip snaps the mesh, I don’t know if the node snaps the grip using the mesh’s pivot to snap it to a side of the grid.
Snap would probably use the pivot.
