I am having issues with uploading Showcases to my profile. After I upload them they disappear and will not show up on my profile. It is not due to cache as it has been tested on multiple devices and browsers.
I have succesfully uploaded a showcase but I Remember having your issue.
Have you clicked the publish button after the upload and saved your edits?
I tried creating a new product and it works:
Thank you for taking your time and showcasing images to help. I have tried both Publishing and Save Draft before pressing publish. Neither works… If you look at my profile you can notice that my Showcase number:
Is larger than my actual number of uploads…

Oh I’m sorry, I should have done that before commenting 
Maybe there’s a limit on “Showcaseable” products?
