I can’t find the text box “Enter console command here” which is usually at the top right corner of the main Editor window. I can’t find find it on UE4 Macbook pro version. I want to type “t.MaxFPS 30” to lock the Editor FPS to 30.
So where can i find it or where can type it ?
There’s a forum dicussion about it. The console is not exposed anymore in the GUI, you have to open it using a shortcut (tilde on english keyboard layouts)
For other keyboard layouts, you may need to choose a different shortcut fo the console:
- Go to the Editor Preferences
- Keyboard Shortcuts
- In the search field, type in
Console
- Choose a different shortcut (I used for example
F12
)

Another more persistent method would be to open the Output Log from (Windows: Developer Tools) menu. Then you can see what the results are and have a persistent command console on the bottom of your UI.
just press the button beside number 1 in keyboard
