Where are the Unigine, 3D Mark grade Unreal Engine 4 benchmarks?

Does anybody plan or know of such a project? Obviously UE4 is quite an advanced engine and more will come. There is some stuff to show off. Unigine Heaven seem even not to have cascade shadow maps or Temporal AA. With Nvidia GameWorks support that is in the work on Github, a UE4 benchmark could come close to an actual video game, too.

Unigine and 3D Mark are being monetized for professional use. I think a benchmark tool for pros based on the UE4 engine, would be much more worth than Unigine or 3D Mark. Or am I fanboying around here? 0.o

Regarding the content that Epic games allows to use for Unreal projects. What are the restrictions?

I know they can be used for products that are made for the Marketplace. But what about stand alone projects? Could I use the Infiltrator Demo, and the Element Demo for my own commercial benchmark tool?

The launcher would be it’s own software for settings/results viewing. The demos mentioned though, they would need their own build as well, and would ship with the benchmark tool. The changes to the demos are so that they can be configured by the benchmark launcher, can gather benchmark data and save them for the launcher inside a file.

The Infiltrator Demo and the Elemental Demo do have this note that I quoted above. Yeah, I think I know what it means. Correctly if I’m wrong, but it means if anybody wanted a to make a commercial benchmark tool based on the UE4, then they can use the content of those two demos mentioned. Or even anything that carries this note by Epic Games.

The reason why I even ask this dumb question is simple. And it’s called Bethesda Softworks. Does anybody remember the Scrolls incident? You see, if big and important companies show that they do have the IQ level of bread. Than I have no other choice but to ask questions. And the thing is that I do not know much about Epic Games.

All I know about Epic is that back in the days of id Software, neither their engine nor their game, Unreal, could really compete with anything id Software made (mostly). They ditched this Mega thing out of their company name. And today they are creating a game engine that is a highly professional versions of Unity.

Yes, but, is there bread within Epic Games HQ? I would like to have a legal clarification specifically for those two demos, Infiltrator and Elemental. This content ain’t just some FPS blueprints. Or some materials.

That is correct. You can use any asset or package provided by Epic in your commercial/non-commercial projects made with UE4. You can also search AnswerHub for official response on this from their legal staff.

This thread blew my mind…

Thanks for clarification. Yeah, I actually thought the answerhub is only for technical things.

Which part? The part that Bethesda made legal claims that had no legal ground whatsoever, and the law itself even went with it? Or the part that Epic Games is American, too. And if Americans don’t like something, they act. And if they act, they not always use their brain. Bethesda proved it’s possible to circumvent common sense and manipulate the law.

I prefer to go with Better Safe Than Sorry!

I will just let this accusation at Bethesda stand. I’m too lazy now too look up in detail what happened back then.
