We were promised that the way things work in the previous marketplace wasn’t going to change. There are quite a few things overlooked or removed in Fab. Free monthly content for UE is one of them. Not even a category page.
I don’t find any of the current free content to be actually useful. Where is the content and asset sharing we were promised? So much is missing.
There was a whole section about free content in the email that was sent out a few months ago.
I get that it’s still early, but the support is useless with their generic responses. They don’t even bother reading or responding to emails.
But yes, a standalone category would be nice to have.
I even don’t know why it is on the Main Page, even visible for Unity Audiences… since Unity Devs cannot use Unreal Blueprint/CodePlugin Assets at all…
Maybe a separated Free-4-the-Months list per Engine is more useful.
Thanks for the link. The Free This Month wasn’t showing up for me on the main page a few days ago. We used to have a separated free for the month list which is why I made the post. I was also able to view items that were free based on what was on sale. Currently if I look for items on sale nothing comes up.
Having better engine sorting should totally be in the works. The old store did it better.
Quixel Megascans should retroactively be added to every account like they were before. Being required to claim them only adds to user confusion.
Why do I have to click on each item separately and agree to open a popup tab each time? Before it was an add to cart button and free purchase in bulk. The agree on purchase isn’t even necessary because that is already agreed upon account creation. Why does Epic insist on making it happen for every single item in store?
We had a bug earlier this week where the discount wasn’t displaying properly. It should be fixed now and you should be able to get the latest free content selection here.
