When using Maya 2016 send to Unreal function -> import crash

Hello,

When I try to import a mesh that was placed into the UE4 project folder “Import” by Maya 2016 function Send to Unreal, UE4 crashes with the following error. I have tried various objedcts, including just a simple cube. Also tried diffrent FBX export settings and it crashes every time.

The error message is:
Access violation - code c0000005 (first/second chance not available)

Hi!

I use MAYA 2016 SP4 and UE 4.9.2. Send To Unreal work without any error.
Did you try run MAYA and UE4 in “Run as Administrator” mode? What’s happening if you export to the FBX from MAYA into different folder and then import this file into UE4?

Hi,

Thank you for your reply!

I run Maya 2016 SP3 and UE 4.9.2.

Just tried what you proposed and it still crashes. It gets to 75% after I select the file and crashes with the same error.

Tried it with fresh scenes, same:
Ran both UE4 and Maya 2016 as administrator. Created a fresh scene in maya, created a cube, selected Send to Unreal->All after specifing a folder (tried diffrent folders). Used default FBX settings. Created a fresh UE4 project. Import->select file-> crash.

If I import FBX that was exported by regular File->Export selected in maya, it imports fine.

My end goal is to import an asset with instances (walls) with the same transformations as in maya into UE4.

It works after updating to 4.10
