Wheeled vehicle - Slip magnitude issue

Hi guys, for anyone who knows vehicles in Unreal, using the slip magnitude value to set the volume of my wheel slip sound cue with a map range clamped.

The problem is when i print string the slip magnitude value, i get either 1004 or 0. Nothing in between.

Can you guys tell me how i can get a more smooth spectrum for my slip value?

Ive tried endlessly playing atound with the friction of the wheels, the slip threshold and side slip setting, whstever its called. The only time i can get the sound to play is when i have the settings such that my skid mark fx dont play for some reason. Or the wheeks are so slippery im sliding all over.

Anybody have any ideas?
