What's your Live Link workflow?

Does anyone use the LL plugin, with your choice of DCC, for cinematics? I’m not really sure why or even how it’s used.

If you have an animation already built in your DCC, then wouldn’t it just be easier to export mesh and animation from DCC to UE5, then just drop everything on a level sequence and call it a day? It seems like using the Take Recorder to record the animation played in the DCC is an extra and time consuming step.

Am I wrong? What am I missing? How do you all use the LL plugin?
