I’ve been modding for a while, but I missed several updated for ark dev kit, my mod doesn’t seem to work anymore.but that’s not the bad news, I tried to use the new version to create the same mod but nothing cooked, I checked the reference, level points to primalgamedata, and test, as primal game data points to the stuff I changed. the world also has primalgamedata and test related then save, but nothing in my mod now when I’m uploading, is there any new rules to cook the mod?
after cooking what happened? anything in the folder? i did the same. cooked with no error, but nothing in the folder.
same happened to me was cooking an empty folder, to resolve it I used the new copies of primaldata_BP, gamemode, and level from generic mod. made all edits and it finally worked.
everything happened as if the cooking was successful, but it wasn’t, folder is not empty, but not with the files that supposed to be there.I used the same way I made my mod before, before it worked, but now I don’t know why it didn’t.
I did this several times, new primal gamemode and level, deleted, change name, change folder, nothing works, ark dev kit should really fix this, to make sure if we follow the process then mod works, not one way but sometimes it doesn’t work, sometimes it does, I did the same thing as the official tutorial does, then nothing now, so that’s how official works.
the last adk is very dissapointing, does anyone thing they tested it before release?
I had this problem a while back. To fix it i copied the TestMap from the maps folder, renamed it, then when cooking changed the Map: textbox to match the renamed testmap
dats wat happened to me…
Will try it later. Thanks man.
Yeah – The things to check for an empty folder/non-working mod out of the editor are:
PrimalGameData_BP is attached to the Map You Are Cooking.
The Map’s Force Load Map Name is BLANK. (Unless your mod works for a specific map only)
The Map Is Named Exactly the same as in the Cook Menu (Under the Maps Text Box)
Little steps to recon the problem.
Dats wat we did but alas not workign. Haiz…
