What's up with answerhub logging me out?

I keep getting logged out of answerhub while I’m answering or asking questions… Does this happen to anyone else?

It gets annoying to be in the middle of typing a response, hitting post, and needing to log back in, sometimes unsuccessfully. I’ve had to re-write some replies and questions several times because as most of you know these answers and questions often are not one-liners. Other times I get “cannot execute request” with a page named csrfAttack or something similar… Do they think I’m attacking the page? I’m typing responses to questions…

I’m not talking hours here, around 5 minutes, more or less, and I have to log back in. I haven’t timed it, but it seems awfully short for a timeout and awfully finicky for when they think I’m launching an attack.

In fact it happened in the less than 5 minutes I just tried to ask this question!

It’s pretty much everyone afaik. It’s been like that for some months now. I got to the habit of coping everything to clipboard before I post anything, including this very thing… Lost too many replies.

You not only have to help people, you have 7.6 nanoseconds to do it…

I think it’s Epic’s attempt at securing the hub, because we did have a lot of spam at one point. Must be a better answer ( hub )…

I second the clipboard! I’ll try to get used to it.
Bittersweet it’s not just me haha

Apparently, 7.6 nanoseconds is already too much:

wow - now I’m more understanding of the aggressive network management haha

I do the same, I make copys even of the tittle of my questions

Thing is, who does this guy really think he’s gonna reach with this?..?..???..???.

These days when I provide an answer to a question, I actually log out completely and only then write it up. When you submit it like this, the system will log you in and post it normally.

For comments, if I know it will take time to write it up (longer than 7.6 nanoseconds or thereabout…), images and whatnot, I will also log out and do in the answer field instead. After posting it, you can convert it to a comment and reattach where needed.

It’s immature and truly annoying that we need to jump through hoops to help someone. :expressionless: Not sure how much the logout helps, there’s plenty of bots posting daily, often necroing very old threads:
