Whats up with 2.25.3? Stuck on 39%

Here are my specs,
I9X 14 Cores
Gigabyte designaire motherboard
1 TB NVM.2 Samsung 3700mbs
3 TB SSD with intel optane boost 24x
32 GB Ram at 3000mhz
Geforce RTX 2080 TI Independent Water Cooling
1000 Watt power supply

So why is unreal engine taking so fracking long to load a new project? Any ideas would greatly help me. do i need more ram? idk.

Strange.

How long for previous versions?

If the CPU usage is 100% because of shadercompileworker it means shaders are compiling and you need to just be patient. It can take a few minutes.

Like 5 seconds lol. Thats why I’m like uhhh. Lol

no cpu is only at 48%. It did say shaders were compiling through. Honestly I think I’m gonna get a better cpu. One with like 18 cores or 20.

In that case you need to set the priority to High for the processes. Probably that’s why it’s taking so long for you.

How do you do this?

You can do this in the Task Manager when the shaders are compiling click on each process and set their priority to high, however, these settings don’t save so you need to get a free program called Prio which will save the process priority so you don’t have to set it every time you launch UE4. While you’re at it you can check the process affinity and make sure you’re actually using all the cores.
