I’m completely brand new to this engine and wanted to learn it to work a massive arcade racing project that reminiscent of older games like NFS World, Burnout, etc. I’ve been messing with the engine and so far figured out a few things like rigging the car and setting it up and everything. However, the biggest thing I’ve been having an issue with is making the car go a lot quicker and not having it slide around like crazy. And Chaos definitely seems it requires some prior knowledge about engines and transmissions so the gearing is correct and doesn’t have a hard time shifting and such.
I wanna continue to try and work with Chaos but I’m this close to just trying to figure out how to make my own physics engine (which is waaaaay worse but it’ll help me make it how I want). Guess what I really just wanna know is:
- What’s the best way to learn Chaos Vehicle?
- Is there an alternative to Chaos that I can use that makes it easier to make the car feel arcade-y?
Apologies for the cluster this post is, but hopefully someone can help me get going.
