I want to create a character out of multiple sprite (body, head, legs, etc) - is there a way to do this in the editor right now with paper 2d? Or would I still need to create this in an external tool like maya or blender?
I would love to know the answer to this myself =) As far as I know you cannot easily do this. But I would think there should be some sort of work around. I’ve built my 2D character in Blender and rigged him with a skeleton and have him animated, but I cannot get him to import into UE4 while retaining his textures/materials. They come in to the engine with the import fine, but are not applied to his meshes. I’d much rather be able to do this within the game engine itself if at all possible!
