What's actually possible with the dev kit?

I’m in my final year of university and for my final year project I was considering creating a mod using the Ark dev kit,
my only concern is that I’m not hugely familiar with the survival genre and I want to be able to create quite a large and functional map, possibly with puzzles and different things for the player to discover ultimately creating an interesting narrative, I can’t find anywhere that this has been done before using the ark dev kit and I’m wondering if its possible or if I’m aiming too high,

I have other options to fall back on for my project fortunately but it would be great to create something for a quite large and active community that would be able to give me player feedback to improve my skills,

I had a few concepts such as a dungeon crawl-esque level that would involve the player having to fight there way through dinosaurs within a cave while discovering clues along the way which would ultimately create some sort of interesting narrative for the player to follow,

Just wondering if this sounds plausable and if there are any particularly large limitations on what can be done?

Thanks

This game is a sandbox, the opposite of a linear game, so any sort of narrative or dungeon crawl would be pretty hard to implement without editing a lot more than you’re probably willing to.
Scripting might be an issue, but other than that, the ADK provides a lot of possibilities.

This is the thing I’m struggling with, knowing whether it would be possible to visually guide someone through the level with prompts of whether it wouldn’t work very well due to the nature of game?

Possible? Yes. But I can’t vouch for how much work it’s going to take.
You might be better off just making a short game using the Unreal Engine itself.
