The video kind of explains it. Neither char has anything with “CanCharacterStepUp” set to true. The character’s have nothing colliding in their collision profiles (neither object type blocks the other). I cannot figure out what is stuck on the guy’s feet that would lift up the red guy.
what’s really weird is if i place the red guy out into the world, he’s fine, and then once he gets moved up once, when i exit editor he’s kind of squished in and feet off the floor, but the capsule remains touching the floor.
in the bp the feet and capsule match up pretty well, so it’s literally moving the mesh upward while leaving the capsule where it is.
well, the problem is in my animation blueprint lol. i removed this node and it instantly fixed it. this solves my question for now, but now I have another problem to solve
