What we regard as health is a video essay that extends an aural exploration of Kofi Busia’s exposition on health. It features a dialogue sample taken from a youtube video titled Kofi Busia on Freedom and Beauty by Osi Living.
The animation in the essay tracks the cadence and delivery of the dialogue, interpolating, geometries and transformations that mirror the sub-themes emerging from the audio sample.
This work forms part of ongoing research work into oral knowledge, demonstrating a possible application of sound within the Unreal Engine toolset, particularly in the generation of graphics.
