Something like that, yes. I'm not sure specifying speed in km/h is useful though - we've become so used to working in duration (s). For instance, a pan shot in an interior scene is actually 0km/h but I'd want to specify how many seconds it takes to pan from view A to view B.
I've created a simple exterior video with a camera moving between two intersections. This is a typical scenario where it would need to accelerate/ decelerate in reality. In TM this is not yet possible as you have outlined. For 6 seconds the camera is forced to travel at a consistent speed.
I've not used Lumion, but LumenRT handles this fairly well. This shows the 6 second duration between the two intersections and the software automatically applies an accelerate/ decelerate camera path.
As a bonus, you can control the shape of the acceleration/ deceleration curve in another UI within the movie editor. Something along these lines would really improve movie-making in TM!
